Solan Homoeopathy Medical College Hospital Since its establishment in 2002 Solan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital has been phenomenally successful in promulgating this effective yet economical system of medicine in rural Himachal. The students and doctors from SHMCH have been visiting these villages regularly and with the co-operation from Pradhans, Up-Pradhans, members and Mahila mandal Pradhans of panchayats they have been able to organize meetings with the general public of these villages to discuss widely on the health related issues such as:

4) Pulse Polio Immunization Programme.

At the same time the students from SHMCH have been equally effective in promoting environment awareness in these villages by emphasizing on aspects like abandoning of poly bags, importance of water resources and their conservation, soil conservation through tree plantation etc.

Not only this the students themselves have always been effective participants in all environment awareness programmes such as Van Mahotsav and other occasional tree plantation days.

Apart from this the students have always been keen on accumulating knowledge from various learned personalities by attending seminars, discussions and workshops on different subjects. ( So for SHMCH students have attended seminars on AIDS, Road accidents, Pulse polio immunization, World Health Day, World Red Cross Day ). Every endeavor is being made to make itself the best Homoeopathic institution of the country in coming years.
