Admission to the First Prof. of B.H.M.S course (Session 2017-18) for state quota as well as All India quota seats shall be made on the basis of Merit List of Joint Entrance Examination for Ayurveda & Homoeopathy courses, conducted by H.P. University on 20th August 2017 as per university notification at Shimla, Dharmshala, Hamirpur & Mandi centres..

Counseling for admission to BHMS course (Session 2017-18) will be held as per notification received from H.P. University Shimla. Only candidates who have appeared in BAMS/BHMS entrance exam conducted by HP University are eligible.

Eligibility for admission to B.H.M.S-1st Prof.:

    1. 1. The candidate should have passed 10+2 from H.P. Board of School Education or from a recognized Board or equivalent degree/examination passed with Science [Medical group with Physics, Biology & Chemistry] of the University/H. P. Board of School Education in Science subjects.
    2. 2. Should have attained the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the first Prof. of the course.
    3. 3. Blind (including colour blind), deaf and/or dumb candidates shall not be allowed for admission to the course.

Out of 75 seats, 47 seats are for State Quota and 28 seats are for All India Quota.

The seats remain vacant after counselling in State Quota will be filled up from All India Quota seats and vice-versa.

Duration of the Course:

The duration of B.H.M.S (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery) course is Five and a half years including one year compulsory rotatory internship, as per Central Council of Homoeopathy regulations.
English is the medium of instructions & examination for B.H.M.S. course.

Fee Structure:(Under revision)

Annual Tuition Fee: Rs. 65,000/- (Rs. Sixty Five Thousand only)  This fee is subject to modification as per instructions from Government of Himachal Pradesh from time to time. Hostel charges are not included in this fee structure.

Caution Money: (One time deposit) Rs. 10,000/= [Rupees Ten Thousand only] Refundable without interest at the time of completion of the course or after 5 ½ years from date of admission in case the candidate leaves the college for any reason before completion of the B.H.M.S course.

Other Charges:  Library, Laboratory & Medical Fund : Rs. 1500 (Annually)

If a candidate withdraw his/her admission after counselling but before cut off date, 50% of the tuition fee shall be refunded by the college.

Hostel Fee: (For girl students only) Rs. 54,000/- [Rupees Fifty Four Thousand only] per annum including board & lodging payable in two equal six monthly installments (Rs. 27,000/- each) on confirmation of admission.

Fee for subsequent Professional years must be submitted before 10th July each year in a single installment.

Fee for Clinical Training Rs. 10,000/= [Rupees Ten Thousand only] shall be charged alongwith BHMS 2nd Prof. annual fee.

Any other type of University Fee i.e. Registration fee, Examination fee etc. shall be charged extra, as applicable from time to time.


Requisite fee can be submitted by any of the following modes:

  • In cash, can be submitted in college office cash counter. Please obtain a receipt for the same.
  • By transfer of funds through RTGS
  • By Demand Draft of a nationalised bank payable at solan.
